ADVANCING EFFORTS TO ADAPT AND MITIGATE ABRUPT CLIMATE CHANGE

One community at a time….

Not known for its hyperbole, the International Panel on Climate Change issued a Code Red For Humanity due to the rapidly growing existential threat of abrupt climate change. No longer can we afford to shrug off climate change as lying outside our ‘scope of practice’, for the simple reason the people we purport to serve are and will be the most adversely impacted directly i.e. prolonged heat waves, forest fires and indirectly i.e. increased food insecurity caused by droughts, increase of refugees. Please join us in our efforts to do our part to adapt to and mitigate abrupt climate change in our respective communities.

CODE RED - THIS IS NOT A DRILL

“This is a decisive and defining moment for the community health sector in terms of how we choose to respond to the greatest existential threat ever faced by humanity.”

As community health organizations, we CAN make a difference.

As comprehensive primary health care organizations, we have an abundance of expertise and experience to bring to bear on the greatest health threat of our time.
