Campaign for HOOPP To Divest from Fossil Fuel
One of the major initiatives undertaken by the Community Health Climate Action Initiative is advocating that HOOPP divest from fossil fuels as part of its portfolio since these investments undermine community health and wellbeing. With total assets of 1.3 trillion it is lagging well behind other Canadian pension funds in reducing climate risks. We are doing so working in close partnership with SHIFT and have now organized a multi sectoral working advocacy team.
